About Us

The Houston Orchid Society Inc. (HOS) is recognized as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. Contributions to the HOS (and the affiliated Houston Judging Center) are tax-deductible.

 

It represents a group of people who share a fascination with orchids.  Organized November 15, 1945, it had the distinction of being the second society in the United States to affiliate with the American Orchid Society (AOS) on December 23, 1946.  HOS bylaws may by viewed by clicking here.
